That was MY opinion, not directed toward anyone in particular, but you did say " Sally is stuck in the past and that not good" The past is history. |

Other writers before her have gotten the boot with better numbers. She hasn't held a writing position in a decade before taking this job. Maybe it was unrealistic to expect her to work magic when she's been out of the game for that long and it explains the outdated nature of her ideas. The two big reveals she's sitting on are Pratt storylines. She hasn't come up with any of her own. And now we're moving into a bunch of asinine triangles that really aren't needed. It's made the characters vapid without much substance. I hope she gets help and soon!!! |

I think Mal's contract is soon up for renewal. Didn't he start in June with first episodes airing in July. |

I don't know why it has to be one or the other. I don't know why it's impossible to find a writer that can balance plot-driven and character-driven writing. You have to have to have that balance as a writer, because otherwise, your material is going to be bad. Is it REALLY that hard to find a writer that can produce compelling material that is grounded in character-driven story while still having thrilling and intricate plots? I just don't get it. You need both. Sussman has proven that she can't do this. |

Apparently, those type of writers are going extinct. All the soaps have been suffering from the same type of unbalanced writing for the past decade. |

all those writers have successful careers writing prime-time or Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon shows. I dont believe for a minute that Sussman hadn't tried to hawk her writings to networks over the last ten years when she wasn't writing soaps. |
